The 15th century was a time of great change for Central and South America. During this century and those that followed, explorers from Spain and other European countries arrived in the New World looking for trade routes and wealth. This collision of cultures initiated changes that were seen around the world. This unit will examine the Empires of the Aztecs, Incas, and Spanish, showing examples of art before and after the arrival of Europeans to the Americas.
